DECONTAMINATION OF TN 17/2 FUEL TRANSPORT PACKAGING MATERIAL

TN 17/2 transport packaging units that have been used for the transportation of irradiated fuel are contaminated internally. They have to undergo a special operation to be used for in a new configuration. In order to be reused for the transportation of fresh fuel, these packaging units need to be decontaminated. Complete decontamination requires solving the following problems: - selecting the decontamination processes - non-destructiveness -implementing the process on TN 17/2 packaging units.
