Abstract
In Sweden 12 nuclear reactors are now in operation. They are located at four different sites: Oskarshamn, Barsebäck, Ringhals and Forsmark, all situated at the coast in the southern half of the country. The first reactor, Oskarshamn 1, was taken into operation in 1972 and the last, Oskarshamn 3, in 1985 .
