Abstract
 The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Nl4 Committee has responsibility for developing national standards in the United States of America for the pack.aging and transportation of radioactive materials, but not including movement or handling during processing and manufacturing operations. The paper describes the organizational structure of ANSI Nl4 and the status of the Nl4 Standards.
