Abstract
We would like to report on field measurements of waste and scrap using elementary passive techniques. Rather than representing the latest state of the art in such measure- ments, these exercises are indicative of what can be accomplished under somewhat difficult experimental conditions, using minimal equipment put together under hurried circumstances. The measurements were conducted at the NFS Erwin, Tenn. facility, and we wish to acknowledge the cooperation.and hospitality of the NFS personnel there, in particular Ralph Jones, John Crawford, Howard Street, Jack Buck, and Joe Shaver; Ed Clay of the AEC Oak Ridge Office observed and aided in part of this excercise.
