Abstract
Automated computerized SS Materials control systems are required to meet today's demand lor timely information. This paper describes the basic concepts of a fully auto- mated SS Material control system in use at the Dow Chemical Company, Rocky Flats Division. Control program theory, how programs work, role of physical inventories, finding and correcting discrepancies, end products (information on a timely basis) and problems associated with design and implementation are covered. Details of computer programming and operation are not included.
