THE U. S. NEW INITATIVES IN INTERNATIONAL SAFEGUARDS AND MATERIALS MANAGEMENT

Our first speaker this morning, Bob Fri, is a native of Kansas. He was graduated from Rice University with honors in physics and received his MBA from Harvard with distinction. He was a Baker Scholar, Phi Beta Kappa, and a Sigma Chi. He was appointed Deputy Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency in 1971 and served as Acting Administrator until August 1973. He then went to the Washington consulting firm of McKenzie and Company specializing in government planning and organization, was ERDA's first Deputy Administrator since March of 1975 and in January of this year was named Acting Administrator of the ERDA.
