Abstract
This paper reports on the latest evolution of a very high speed fuel rod assay system. The system uses a large Californium source and coincidence detection. Scan speeds up to a rod a minute are possible for both off-spec pellet detection and total fissile determination. Additional capabilities, such as pellet density determination, gap measurement and fissile column length measurement are described. The rod handling mechanism, and automation of data output are also described.
