Abstract
A transportable single cable intrusion detection security sensor is being developed by Senstar Corporation with the support of the Canadian Department of National Defence. This sensor utilizes two leaky coaxial cables which are extruded into a single jacket. Sample cables have been made and are currently being tested under a variety of environmental conditions and utilizing several different installation techniques. The sensor design is based on the author's 16 years of experience in development of leaky cable sensors and Senstar's extensive experience with its SENTRAX product operating in over 25 countries worldwide. This paper presents some of the theoretical basis for the sensor design as well as the most recent test results on the development program.
