Abstract
With the tremendous growth of the Department of Section in the late 1950's to its present huge departmental size consisting of several divisions, the importance of cooperation by its component units cannot be overemphasized. The basis for cooperation lies in the realisation that all the units are working for the attainment of a common safeguards objective, and the progress in this direction in the past few years has been very encouraging. Thus there is more to unite than to divide the Operations and Support Units of the Department, and the cooperation between the various units will be further enhanced when team-work in achieving effective safeguards becomes the order of the day.
