Abstract
The Statistical Quality Control function is to ensure that product specifications are met through the statistical evaluation of characteristics. In order to accomplish this, data must be collected, analyzed, and the results compared to specification requirements to accept or reject the product. This activity is carried out on the final product as well as at points during manufacturing operations. Analysis of the data and the results are of mutual interest to both Materials Management and. Quality when the subject is some characteristic of uranium such as weight percent of U in UO^, isotopic enrichment of U-235 or the fuel loading in a fuel element.
