Abstract
Although human performance and decision making play a decisive role in determining the outcomes of combat in real life, these factors have been inadequately taken into account in current combat models. A discussion is given of some of these factors and means of improving our knowledge about them using the SFER. Special attention is given to those factors germane to small forces combat and their integration into the Transportation Safeguards Effectiveness Model (TSEM).
