Abstract
Last June, John V. Vinciguerra, Assistant General Manager for Adminis- tration, U. S. Atomic Energy Commission, addressed the Institute Meeting in Washington, D. C., on the subject of Safeguards--Past, Present and Future. At that time he informed the institute about the establishment of the Office of Safeguards and Materials Management and he discussed at some length the tasks that confronted the Commission in the immediate and long-range future.
