Abstract
As the lead laboratory for the Department of Energy in physical security technology, Sandia National Laboratories has developed a large technical base of information. This technical base is being organized for easy retrieval by the user community. A series of ten Technology Transfer Manuals has been developed to provide in-depth information relevant to the design of security systems. The technical safeguards library that will contain information cross referenced on a user-friendly PC search system is now under way. Training courses are available based on earlier presentations for the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Under the National Competitiveness Technology Transfer Act of 1989, Sandia is in the process of executing several Cooperative Research and Development Agreements for the transfer of information to several user organizations.
