Abstract
Let's take a look at safeguards today from the point of view of American industry -- good corporate citizens, acting in the public trust -- just where we are since our last meeting at West Palm Beach a year ago. Have we made any progress in solving the problems, sometimes baffling, often vexatious, that face us in the day to day workings of our complex industry? Or are we in the process of running as hard as we can to stay in one place, diffusing our energy and resources in a myriad of directions?
