Abstract
A barrel scanner was designed to assay 23S Uand/or *39Pu in 55-gallon drums filled with low density waste. Laboratory tests show that the scanner will measure 5 or more grams of235Uor'13 9Pu in a drum filled with paper, cloth, or sawdust (density
