Abstract
Thank you, Bob. Mr. Chairmen -- Jim and Harley -- and fellow members of the nuclear fraternity (I understand that the modern way to refer to all of us is \"Nukes\"), I am delighted to be here -- partly because of the fringe benefits, but mostly because I always enjoy exploring the intricacies of nuclear materials management with people who can fill in some of the gaps in my knowledge of this subject and you are certainly the appropriate group. Now that I've paid you a compliment -- and a sincere one -- perhaps I can afford to tell a story that illustrates what Jim has mentioned several times -- the \"unusual nature of your jobs. \"
