Abstract
Protecting an organization's high value assets (capital, equipment, material, work-in-progress, inventory) becomes more difficult as techniques for disruption/pirating become more sophisticated. Equally sophisticated techniques such as continuous monitoring of multiple asset attributes are required for effective asset protection. The Real-Time Asset Management (RTAM) system utilizes continuous monitoring techniques to provide on-line real-time protection through continuous collection of asset attributes such as temperature, vibration and shock, tampering, and tracking to asset movement.
