Abstract
The Real Time SS Accountability System has been implemented at Mound Laboratory and has been operating successfully since September 1976. The system utilizes the concept of unit accountability completelyā€˛ The transactions against the units, as they are received from the remote terminals, are stored in a data base. At the same time, a running inventory is constantly updated so that the most current condition of the system is always available, Eighteen transaction types, some of which are quite unique, are used to facilitate the movement of the material through the Laboratory, Problems at start-up, user education, and usage statistics are discussed.
