Abstract
The primary purpose of this paper is to describe the manner in which verification of the quality of the fuel for the CP-5 reactor was recently accomplished. Three nondestructive inspection techniques were used for this examination. They were - radiographic, ultrasonic and gamma ray scintillation spectrometric. Visual inspection, including the measurement of visible dimensions was also carried out in conjunction with the above techniques but will not be discussed in this paper. The three techniques each have unique features which are described together with a general description of how the methods were used to provide an evaluation of the fuel.
