Abstract
This paper discusses the various sampling points and measurement techniques utilized at Gulf General Atomic for the safeguard and control of special nuclear materials during the production of High-Temperature Gas-Cooled Reactor fuel. The fuel production process is briefly described in order to emphasize the complexities associated with the selection of samples, sample points, and measurement techniques used in support of physical inventories.
