Abstract
An improved method of performing value-impact analyses was developed for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission to support their effort to require improvements in material control and accounting programs. The method is used to objectively compare multi-attributed criteria such as dollars and reduced risks. The method is described for an application which assesses alternate requirements for independent verification of waste discards. A savings in time and an in-depth participation by several analysts is achievable using the computer program developed for this purpose.
