Abstract
An on-line data acquisition system has been installed at GE's Wilmington fuel fabrication facility for use in materials control and quality assurance. A schematic description of the computer system is presented and the applications of such a system to materials control problems discussed. Included are descriptions of systemoperator interactions and measurements taken, both within the hardware and software, to minimize data input errors. Materials Management benefits resulting from application of this type of computer system are presented.
