Abstract
A computer based system has been developed which has the capability of supporting the criticality and safeguards material control plan at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, operated by the Union Carbide Nuclear Division for the U. S. Energy Research and Development Administration (ERDA). This data base for the Source and Nuclear Materials (SNM) accountability was installed in 1972 and since that time the system has been expanded to include all material specified by ERDA Manual Chapters accountable through the Nuclear Materials Information System (NMIS). These on-line files may be used to support the Laboratory criticality control, safeguards protection, and surveillance activity.
