Abstract
Safeguards is an area that has occupied the attention of many of us for some time. Its boundaries have changed with time, and the degree of urgency attached to it has also varied from one time to another. It is now commonly accepted that the adequacy of safeguards is one of the principal points to be established on the way to public acceptance of nuclear power. This question is given a great deal of time and discussion in our new Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
