Abstract
Tamper Indicating Devices (TID) or seals have been used for centuries for the control of physical objects and containers. Although TIDs are used in the nuclear industry for the same purpose, they are more effective because of improved technology. This paper will describe the general requirements for the development of an effective TID system. In particular, several examples will be presented from those considered at Rocky Flats over the past several years.
