Abstract
Determination of security system effectiveness using the SAVI path analysis and BATLE engagement simulation computer programs is discussed. In particular, a scenario analysis procedure is described as a way to bridge from a SAVI path analysis to a BATLE engagement simulation. The procedure includes the development of the most credible scenario that can be defined based on the most vulnerable path identified by a SAVI analysis. The scenario is characterized in terms of paths and time lines for all potential combatants. These paths and time lines are used to establish the arrival time of combatants in an engagement and thus define the key timedependent input data for a BATLE engagement simulation. A technique for treating single and multiple detection points along an adversary path is described as part of the scenario analysis procedure.
