Abstract
Two intrinsic densitometry techniques for determining plutonium concentrations (and isotopic distributions) that require no. external radioactive sources or x-ray generators and rely only on the natural radiation from the plutonium have been tested with high-burnup solutions. We found that these techniques can determine the plutonium concentration of highburnup solutions to between 2.4% and 3.5% in a 1-h assay.
