Abstract
Good afternoon. Usually one is a bit apprehensive when he finds himself as the first speaker in the afternoon. The warm, full feeling is conducive to a few restful winks by the audience. Today, however, I feel fortunate because I am afforded the opportunity to precondition you as you listen to the rest of the industrially oriented speakers. The message is: Economic forces are at work and have a large part to play in effective materials safeguarding.
