Abstract
Almost anyone of the many specialists in the quality control field can .tell you how to accomplish the desired control of quality and maintain lit. These are many books and articles on the subject giving the glowing success story of a particular quality control program or quality attention arresting gimmick. But how many of you have ever seen an article on how to lose quality control? We in the nuclear fuel business cannot afford to lose any degree of quality control or assurance. This paper deals directly with the pitfalls which may cause a loss of control over the quality of a product. These pitfalls, of course, can be avoided through an active quality assurance program. I plan to show you some examples of how M&C Nuclear has kept from losing quality control.
