Abstract
The GEMINI Advanced Review Software (GARS) has been in field use for five years and has advanced steadily to meet the growing demands from Inspectors. In the past two years the program has transformed into General Advanced REview Station (GARS), allowing inspectors to review Aquila Technologies' GEMINI and Dr. Neumann's DCM-14 surveillance data. Keeping in mind the novice inspector who requires a simple interface consisting of VCR type playback buttons for image review, GARS now includes a comprehensive set of tools to both simplify and automate many complex safeguards tasks. Tools, such as multiple motion detection algorithms, image authentication, scene modification, and graphical overviews of scene data, are available for the more sophisticated inspector. These tools, along with the ability to generate a wide variety of reports, allow for the complete evaluation and safeguards analysis of nuclear surveillance image data. Accompanied by the GEMINI Archival System (GAS), a simple one-button program provides the ability to archive surveillance data to a CD-recordable disk.
