Abstract
It is my great honour to present this paper at the general meeting of the Institute of Nuclear Materials Management. Some of you may wonder if I have come here to contribute to the current non-proliferation problem which U.S. government and ours have been talking about for the past few months. That is not at all my intention. I have come here to report to the distinguished members of the Institute that the Japan Chapter of the Institute has been established. On behalf of the Japan Chapter, I should like to express our thanks to the Chairman, Executive Committee and other members of the Institute who have provided guidance and assistance since the formation of our Chapter was approved last October. I wish all will continue to assist us in promoting the activities of the Institute in Japan. The draft Constitution and Bylaws of the Chapter are now being reviewed by the Executive Committee and as soon as the Constitution and Bylaws are approved, we will start our activities.
