Abstract
Power Reactor and Nuclear Fuel Develoment Corporation (PNC) constructed a new MOX fuel fabrication facility, Plutonium Fuel Production Facility (PFPF) in it's Tokai Works, to supply fuels to the proto-type FBR \"MONJU\" and to the fast experimental reactor \"JOYO\". PFPF had been designed so as to get the distinguished features from a conventional Mixed Oxide (MOX) fuel fabrication facilities. That is the introduction of fully automated operation scheme by combining a conventional automatic technique of equipment level with an automated transfer system to avoid radiation exposures from a large amount of nuclear material to be handled. In conjunction with automated operation scheme, the PFPF developed an on line computerized material accountancy system. This paper describes fundamental aspects and features of this on-Hne computerized material accountancy system.
