Abstract
The Integrated Support Center for Nuclear Nonproliferation and Nuclear Security (ISCN) was established in 2010 within Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) and has developed into an organization that provides comprehensive R&D and capacity building support related nuclear nonproliferation and nuclear security, mainly in the Asian region. The Nuclear Human Resources Development Center (NuHRDeC) was established in 1958 as the Human Resources Development (HBD) division of the Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (formerly the JAEA) soon after its establishment in 1956. ISCN and NuHRDeC were merged in April 2025 to form the new Integrated Support Center for Nuclear Nonproliferation, Security and Human Resource Development (ISCN), which can now provide human resource development support related to the 3S (Safety, Security and Safeguards).
