Abstract
The Office of Arms Control, Department of Energy has been sponsoring the development of systems and technologies for arms control treaty verification for over a quarter century. The realms of interest are in On-Site Verification, Regional Monitoring, Remote Sensing, and Advanced Concepts/Technology Development. These activities take place at the DOE national laboratories in order to satisfy U.S. requirements for verification technology in the near-term (1-2 years), mid-term (3-5 years) and long-term (up to 10 years), and for treaties in effect, under negotiation, or under consideration.
