Abstract
SNLA developed and implemented a nuclear material control and accountability system on an HP 3000 minicomputer. The Sandia Nuclear Materials Computer System CSNMCS) which became operational in January 1980 provides: • Control of shipments and receivals of nuclear material 'Control of internal transfers of nuclear material • Automated inventory with a bar code system • Control of inventory adjustments • Automated reporting/transmitting to other contractors and operations offices • Automated ledgers and journals for material weights and costs • Interface to the Albuquerque Operations Office (ALO) Automated 741 System.
