Building Resilience: The Role of Women in Nuclear Security and Safety in Central Asia (Focus: International Safeguards)

Central Asia, a region with a growing nuclear footprint, faces unique challenges in ensuring nuclear security and safety. This presentation explores the role women play in strengthening these safeguards, particularly through the lens of international safeguards. The presentation will showcase the growing participation of women in nuclear-related fields in Central Asia, focusing on organizations like WIN Kyrgyzstan and their contributions to international safeguards culture. This abstract will highlight the collaborative efforts of WIN Kyrgyzstan with other regional networks like Women in Nuclear – Central Asia Network and Black Sea Women in Nuclear Network to promote best practices in international safeguards.
