Abstract
A new non-destructive analytical technique is proposed in which the energy distribution of delayed neutrons is employed to identify nuclear materials. Active interrogation is used, but in distinction to conventional methods in which neutron counting rates are measured, the new technique is based upon the analysis of the delayed neutron energy distribution.
