Abstract
The site of COGEMA La Hague includes two large scale reprocessing plants. Analytical measurements are of major importance for process control and monitoring. Among these measurements, analysiss for accountancy have a special place for Safeguards and for commercial purposes. We will first briefly describe a number of analytical techniques which are carried out to perform analysis on nuclear material streams entering the process Material Balance Area and going out of it. A quality control plan has been built to ensure that we actually get the best analytical results we can achieve; the main features of it will be presented. For several years commercial and environmental concerns have been leading our strategy towards improvement of our job, with enhanced productivity and reliability, shorter delay and less waste. The trend is also to improve accuracy of accountancy analysis as much as reasonably achievable.
