Abstract
Reliability estimates for both individual cameras and camera systems assuming a constant hazard function (exponental failure model) are presented. A comparison of \"time-to-failure\" and \"frames-to-failure\" estimates is shown with the conclusion that \"frames-to-failure\" is the more useful metric in describing camera performance. The role that individual camera \"time-to-repair\" plays in overall system reliability is discussed.
