The UAE is one of the first nations to recognize the significance of adopting Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, having established a dedicated ministry of artificial intelligence and launching the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031. Artificial intelligence (AI) has advanced rapidly, leading to its pervasive integration into various domains. With an emphasis on FANR's NuTech AI project, this paper examines the strategic integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the nuclear export and import regulatory framework of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The paper explores NuTech's current implementation, highlighting its AI-powered risk assessment capabilities that enhance regulatory decision-making by analyzing individual profiles and past compliance data. The paper also examines NuTech's future course, imagining the addition of new AI features including improving anomaly detection in real-time, expediting document processing, and tackling new issues in the field of nuclear export control. Based on current implementation, NuTech's insights demonstrate AI's broad potential to completely transform nuclear export regulations. The study adds to the conversation on the thoughtful and responsible integration of AI in nuclear regulatory frameworks by combining current approaches. In conclusion, the paper offers a holistic understanding of the immediate impact and future potential of NuTech AI project, positioning it as a pioneering initiative in advancing nuclear export regulation through the thoughtful integration of AI.
