Abstract
The experiences of the Oak Ridge Operations Office, USAEC, in contracting with private industry for U-235 enriched uranium scrap reprocessing services during the period July 1, 1962, through June 1, 1966, are reviewed and plans for the future are discussed. The review includes observations on recovery cost trends, shipper-receiver differences in uranium and U-235 contents of scrap, present industrial capabilities, and on-site inspections by AEC employees.
