Abstract
Past attempts at sensor fusion have used some form of Boolean logic to combine the sensor information. As an alternative, an adaptive \"fuzzy\" sensor fusion technique is described in this paper. This technique exploits the robust capabilities of fuzzy logic in the decision process as well as the optimization features of the genetic algorithm. This paper presents a brief background on fuzzy logic and genetic algorithms and how they are used in an online implementation of adaptive sensor fusion.
