Abstract
It is a privilege to met.c with you to disease a subject of international significance, & subject to which I tu.ve devoted considerable time and thought. And although I am not a gambler--except on the golf course--it is always pleasant co visit this area of the West. In my remarks today, I would like to review briefly tht respective roles of government and industry in the field of nuclear materials management, and perhaps make sotae suggestions as to how we might orient our thinking in view of the constantly expanding requirements of this aspect of management. Since Del Crowson and R.USS Wischow are good friends of mine, I'll try not to be too obstreperous. But a little plain talk every once in awhile seems useful, so I may have a few critical comments along the way. I am telling you this now so you'll be sure to stay awake.
