REPORT ON THE WORK OF THE ESARDA WORKING GROUP ON CONTAINMENT AND SURVEILLANCE

Abstract
The ESARDA Working Group on Containment and Surveillance started its activity in June 1979 on the basis of precise terms of reference. The general objective and aims of the group are oriented towards: 1) the inventory of available C/S techniques and devices; 2) the reliability assessment and sensitivity evaluation and devices; 3) the quantification of the assurance given by C/S; 4) the quantification of the assurance given by C/S combined with Material Accountancy; 5) in-field tests of devices. The group decided a procedure for the quantification of the assurance given by C/S.
