Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the historical development and growth of the DOE Central Training Academy (CTA), outline the current CTA training curriculum, and discuss how changes in Department of Energy mission requirements may affect the future scope and direction of CTA Safeguards and Security training programs. In addition, this paper will focus on the need for a comprehensive, systematic method for assessing training needs, and a general awareness of the training resources available through the Central Training Academy.
