Abstract
Andra is the National Agency for Radioactive Waste Management. Andra operates the near-surface disposal facility of Centre de l'Aube. This facility is designed for the disposal of low- and medium level radioactive waste generated by the nuclear power plants, the reprocessing plants, the research centres and the small users (hospitals, industries,..). Andra implemented an integrated waste management system that covers all stages from waste generation to final disposal at the Centre de l'Aube facility. The paper presents the quality assurance program defined by Andra for waste management that specifies the level of quality to be achieved, defines quality control requirements and waste tracking requirements, from waste generation through final disposal.
