Abstract
As remote monitoring continues to evolve within safeguards, there is a need to be able to seal two separate components such as a door or safe and to be able to collect this information remotely. Expanding on currently available technology, a seal is being developed for use in safeguards that will allow for the sealing of two separate components. Additionally, authenticated data will be available for remote or unattended collection via RS-232, RS-485 or RF communications protocol. Funding from the United States Support Program supports this development project.
