Abstract
This paper makes a number of observations regarding assessment of detection probabilities for safeguards systems. The observations briefly address the following: contldenceintervalsf-x deteetion probabilities, statistical dependencies between deteetion elements, Bayesian methods for quant@ing expert judgement and past -mu, ~d pmnetric empirical Bayesian methods for combining performance data from various sources.
